It’s a new year. Popular culture encourages making New Year’s resolutions. Some coaches or managers might ask about your goals for the coming year. However, I tend to listen intuitively to what the new year and life are asking me for and take my direction from there. I’m not saying that goal setting or New Year’s resolutions are a bad thing. It’s just that for such a long time now I’ve been hearing a different drumbeat and my life continues to be an amazing journey. While I don’t always sense a lot of specifics, I can usually intuit the next potential that is waiting to unfold in my path over the coming few years. Then I put my focus on living into that potential. Visions, dreams, potentials call out to me and I follow them.

For many years, numerology has helped me understand cycles and patterns. There are “universal” numbers that can help us understand societal trends, choices, and events, as well as “personal” numbers that are unique to each of us and can help us understand deeper meaning behind personal experiences and events. While each of us have our own personal year number, on a universal level, 2014 is a “7” year. (2 + 0 + 1 + 4 = 7) This means that, regardless of what is going on in our individual lives, we will all be influenced in some way by this universal number “7” energy of 2014.

Archetypally, the number “7” represents hope, reflection, introspection, focus, contemplation, graciousness, perseverance, and inner wisdom. While every year offers its own set of invitations and opportunities, 2014 offers great potential for us as a society to become more aware of the interconnectedness of all and what it means to live in service of something larger than ourselves. This year invites us to step beyond our assumptions so that we might discover new horizons beyond anything we have dared to imagine.

This new year calls us to be willing to step beyond illusions and façades to recognize truth – a greater truth than just “what is true for me.” One of our guiding stars here at the Center for Transformational Presence is the question, “What wants to happen?” 2014 invites us to sit deeply in that question – to be willing as a society to allow the Great Mystery of life (you might call that God, Spirit, Source, or some other name) to show us a bigger picture. This number “7” year invites us to experience our place in the great matrix of life – to tap into the bigger dream of a world that works, to recognize the role we are called to play in co-creating that world, and to align all aspects of our lives with that vision that is waiting to manifest in service of a greater good.

In these early weeks of 2014, I invite you to tune into the bigger dream waiting to manifest in your world – a dream that is about so much more than just you. Perhaps you become aware of several, yet if you pay attention, there will be one dream that won’t let go of you. Put your focus there and listen. What is that dream asking of you?

The number “7” vibration of 2014 offers rich and fertile soil for planting seeds, nurturing big dreams, and following those dreams into action. This is what we’re all about here at the Center for Transformational Presence. We can help you learn to see beyond your limits, to understand patterns and opportunities in new ways, and to live your life in alignment with your greater purpose so that you can indeed make a significant difference in your world.

It’s a new year. Now is the time. Join us.

This online programme with Alan Seale came at the right moment for me. Over the past few years, I had read a lot of Alan's work, but these sessions brought his teachings to life. This was a whole new level of experiential learning for me. Zoom did not get in the way, quite on the contrary I would say. During the exercises you could choose to turn the camera off. I felt free to experiment with posture, movement. Whatever I needed to get clarity on my chosen topics. It was very private and yet you could feel you were guided and supported by someone who can hold the space for you.

In breakout sessions, we then talked about what had come to our awareness during the exercise, what we learned. Suddenly, there were words for the embodied experience – it was shared and thus reinforced. Amazingly, we never felt compelled to talk about the issue itself, just our discoveries and the process. As a result of this coaching journey, I no longer systematically “normalize” my capabilities. I am aware of my gifts and I use them. Participating in the Transformational Presence for Leaders and Coaches (TPLC) 5-day course was a necessary step on my journey towards my ICF/MCC credential. Without the Transformational Presence foundation course and mentoring, I would not have reached that goal, or at least not as quickly as I did.

Transformational Presence enabled me to evolve as a coach in 3 dimensions:

I am not the flower-power type. I’m down to earth and rational. And I can be emotional. When I first subscribed to the TPLC course [Transformational Presence for Leaders and Coaches] I read Alan’s book Create a World That Worksin preparation. To be honest, I should say that I tried to read it. I just did not understand what Alan was writing about! Although I was very curious about the course, I have to admit that I was also skeptical.

It is only through experiencing Transformational Presence in the way that Alan presents it in this course that I could really get it. I didn’t recognize how intuitive I am and how significant that would be for me. This was a turning point. Yet I was still hesitant to introduce this approach into my work. I work with entrepreneurs who are also often down-to-earth and rational types like me.

However, thanks to the TPLM [Transformational Presence Leadership and Facilitation Mentoring Program], I made a huge shift and really stepped into my full potential. Since then, so many incredible things have happened. I implement Transformational Presence into my work and life now as if I have been doing it for many years.
