One of the most frequent questions I am asked is, “How does visioning, planning, and goal setting fit into the Transformational Presence approach?”

Perhaps you, like many of us, have been taught to decide what you want, make a plan, and then implement the plan to make it happen. There’s nothing wrong with that approach, yet there is so much more available to us if we tap into the future and let the vision, project, or goal, talk to us first. The project or vision often comes alive in a much bigger way.

From there we go to the Three Questions that are the foundation of the Transformational Presence approach:

  1. What wants to happen?
  2. Who is that asking me/us to be?
  3. What is it asking me/us to do?

As we work with the questions and let the future lead the way, the appropriate goals and plans show themselves to us. It’s a much more organic process.

In the 20-minute video below, I elaborate on this concept a bit more and then lead you through a short exercise to experience this approach. Set aside about 30 minutes to watch the video and have a bit of reflective time afterwards. Give yourself this gift. You might be surprised at what you discover!
