If you are wondering
if your work here on earth is finished
and you are still alive, it isn’t.
– Sister Joan Chittister
It’s the first week of September, and here in New England, that means it’s “back to school” week. Yet it could also be called “back to routine” week, or “back to the real world” week. For many people, summer offers a break in busy schedules and a slower pace. There are vacations, family time, mountain hikes or walks on the beach, weekend getaways, and backyard barbecues. Even though the first day of autumn is still several weeks away, our Labor Day holiday here in the U.S. traditionally signals the end of summer and a return to full schedules and responsibilities.
Within this context, there is a sense of newness to the beginning of September as well. There are new classes for those who are in school, new projects at work, and new communities or service activities to join. Even though January 1st starts a new calendar year, sometimes September 1st actually feels more like the time of new beginnings.
How will you “show up”’ to your life, your work, or your school as the new season begins? What new discoveries or insights did the summer bring? What do you want to be different about your life or work as you come back to the “real world?” How do you want to be seen differently?
The heart of our work at the Center for Transformational Presence is just that – presence. It’s all about helping you “show up” to life in your greatest creative power so that you can bring your gifts to the world. We help you be who you need to be on the inside in order to do big things on the outside. We help you find clarity in who you are and why you are here. We help you create work that is in alignment with the passions that stir your soul. We help you say “yes” to your deep inner yearning to make a significant difference in the world. We help you learn to think and engage with the world in more expansive and impactful ways.
We give you simple and practical tools to navigate life’s big challenges as well as to step fully into life’s greatest opportunities. We help you recognize your evolving personal potential and live into it. We help you stretch way beyond your own potential to recognize the greater potential waiting to unfold in your family, in your business, and in your community. And we give you tools and skills to help you bring those potentials to life.
In short, we help you translate inner transformation into outer action. We work together to create a world that works.
We all have a light inside of us that wants to shine. Your soul will not engage in anything less than its greatness. It is not interested in maintaining the status quo or playing safe. Your soul thrives on learning, growth, shining its light, and making a contribution to the world. Your soul thrives when you shine your light.
The pioneer dancer and choreographer Martha Graham said we have within us “a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive.” What is your blessed unrest? What is the dream or vision that won’t let go of you? What is the gift you feel called to share with the world?
As the “new school year” begins, we are here to support you in taking your next big steps. Visit the Calendar page of our website to find about the programs coming up in our 2014-15 season. You can make the difference you feel called to make. It’s time. The world can’t afford for you to wait any longer.
