Transformational Presence Certified Coach — Certification Requirements

Certification as a Transformational Presence Coach is available for those who would like to have this credential to support their work. There are two pathways to certification, based on whether or not you already hold an ICF or EMCC certification or equivalent.

For those who already have an ICF or EMCC certification or equivalent, the requirements are:

  • Completion of both the TPLC Foundation Course and the Transformational Presence Supervised Mentor Coaching Course taught by Alan Seale or one of the Transformational Presence Global Program Leaders.
  • 30 hours of Transformational Presence Coaching. These hours may include one-on-one coaching, team coaching, and organizational coaching. These hours must have occurred after your completion of the initial TPLC Foundation Course.
  • A minimum of 4 different clients
  • 80% of the sessions must be paid sessions
  • Audio Recording of two 30-45-minute Transformational Presence coaching sessions with two different clients
  • Final oral exam in which you will be asked to talk about the fundamental concepts of Transformational Presence work, demonstrating your knowledge of the principles and your ability to explain concepts. The questions are provided in the application for your preparation.

For those who do not have an ICF-recognized certification or equivalent, the requirements are:

  • Completion of both the TPLC Foundation Course and the Transformational Presence Supervised Mentor Coaching Course taught by Alan Seale or one of the Transformational Presence Global Program Leaders
  • 100 hours of Transformational Presence Coaching. These hours may include one-on-one coaching, team coaching, and organizational coaching. 80 of those hours must have occurred after your completion of the initial TPLC Foundation Course.
  • A minimum of 6 different clients
  • 80% of the sessions must be paid sessions
  • Audio Recording of two 30-45-minute Transformational Presence coaching sessions with two different clients
  • Final oral exam in which you will be asked to talk about the fundamental concepts of Transformational Presence work, demonstrating your knowledge of the principles and your ability to explain concepts. The questions are provided in the application for your preparation.

Application Fee: $250 US to cover the exam time and the website listing.

After certification, you may choose to be listed on the Center for Transformational Presence website and recommended as a Certified Transformational Presence Coach.

I am not the flower-power type. I’m down to earth and rational. And I can be emotional. When I first subscribed to the TPLC course [Transformational Presence for Leaders and Coaches] I read Alan’s book Create a World That Worksin preparation. To be honest, I should say that I tried to read it. I just did not understand what Alan was writing about! Although I was very curious about the course, I have to admit that I was also skeptical.

It is only through experiencing Transformational Presence in the way that Alan presents it in this course that I could really get it. I didn’t recognize how intuitive I am and how significant that would be for me. This was a turning point. Yet I was still hesitant to introduce this approach into my work. I work with entrepreneurs who are also often down-to-earth and rational types like me.

This online programme with Alan Seale came at the right moment for me. Over the past few years, I had read a lot of Alan's work, but these sessions brought his teachings to life. This was a whole new level of experiential learning for me. Zoom did not get in the way, quite on the contrary I would say. During the exercises you could choose to turn the camera off. I felt free to experiment with posture, movement. Whatever I needed to get clarity on my chosen topics. It was very private and yet you could feel you were guided and supported by someone who can hold the space for you.

In breakout sessions, we then talked about what had come to our awareness during the exercise, what we learned. Suddenly, there were words for the embodied experience – it was shared and thus reinforced. Amazingly, we never felt compelled to talk about the issue itself, just our discoveries and the process. Wow.

It will take months to compost all that I learned. The course is a gift that will keep giving. I feel privileged. Thank you.

I have been leading companies for 20 years. However, for the last 15 years, I knew that there had to be more for me. Also, my health and well-being were suffering, and I started looking for answers. Through Transformational Presence, I have become a completely new leader, a transformational leader. My power and excitement are back in my work and in my life. And now I am guiding other leaders with the Transformational Presence approach so that, together, we can help to create a world that works.
