I am not the flower-power type. I’m down to earth and rational. And I can be emotional. When I first subscribed to the TPLC course [Transformational Presence for Leaders and Coaches] I read Alan’s book Create a World That Worksin preparation. To be honest, I should say that I tried to read it. I just did not understand what Alan was writing about! Although I was very curious about the course, I have to admit that I was also skeptical.
It is only through experiencing Transformational Presence in the way that Alan presents it in this course that I could really get it. I didn’t recognize how intuitive I am and how significant that would be for me. This was a turning point. Yet I was still hesitant to introduce this approach into my work. I work with entrepreneurs who are also often down-to-earth and rational types like me.

So much has happened for me since I was first introduced to the Transformational Presence work. No matter what is going on, my grounding in Transformational Presence is never far away. Decision-making, both day-to-day and long-term, are so much easier and clearer now. On the last day of the Transformational Presence Leadership and Coach Training in Belgium in 2013, I knew that I wanted to be coached by Alan. As a result of this coaching journey, I no longer systematically “normalize” my capabilities. I am aware of my gifts and I use them. Participating in the Transformational Presence for Leaders and Coaches (TPLC) 5-day course was a necessary step on my journey towards my ICF/MCC credential. Without the Transformational Presence foundation course and mentoring, I would not have reached that goal, or at least not as quickly as I did.
Transformational Presence enabled me to evolve as a coach in 3 dimensions:
1. From "analyzing" to "exploring"
2. From "listening to" to "being together with"
3. From "conversing with" to "holding space for"
It turned out that the integration of exactly those 3 elements was the critical ingredient to grow my coaching presence to the MCC level. At that level, coaching is indeed much more about holding space for the coachee's own transformation and growth process rather than just listening and asking questions.
For me, the TPLC has also been about internal "cleaning" and finding new levels of personal maturity. Alan Seale's coaching, mentoring, and facilitating skills are—what shall I say—of an "extraterrestrial" nature. I have followed many, many coaching courses. Most of them were fine, a few were great, but TPLC was a life-shifting experience. I totally recommend TPLC for anyone wishing to self develop, and certainly for coaches wishing to attain the MCC credential through the ICF. Thank you, Alan.

For me, the TPLC has also been about internal "cleaning" and finding new levels of personal maturity. Alan Seale's coaching, mentoring, and facilitating skills are—what shall I say—of an "extraterrestrial" nature. I have followed many, many coaching courses. Most of them were fine, a few were great, but TPLC was a life-shifting experience. I totally recommend TPLC for anyone wishing to self develop, and certainly for coaches wishing to attain the MCC credential through the ICF. Thank you, Alan.
